[teaser]The Hunger Project (THP) is a global, non-profit, strategic organization committed to the sustainable end of world hunger.[/teaser] In Africa, South Asia and Latin America, THP seeks to end hunger and poverty by empowering people to lead lives of self-reliance, meet their own basic needs and build better futures for their children. And now they are doing it with paperless data collection and evaluation, thanks to iForm Mobile Apps.
In an article on the organization’s website, iFormBuilder was touted as a “universal, cloud based mobile data collection platform helping customers around the globe collect data on their mobile devices.” The app is described as helping save money, offering efficiency, and allowing Hunger Project members complete their mission and properly evaluate project success.
As stated in the article, the benefits of iFormBuilder were immediate:
- An evaluation using mobile data collection saves nearly $1,000 in data entry and cleaning fees the device pays for itself in the first study.
- Using cutting-edge mobile technology leads to a lower number of surveys being returned incomplete, inaccurate or unusable to our staff.
- Eliminating the need for data entry means that study managers are able to quickly review initial data and make decisions about the need to return to the field.
- It allows The Hunger Project to more quickly fulfill its commitment to a participatory M&E system, where communities can receive timely presentations and feedback with evaluation results.
