[teaser]Through a partnership between Utah Valley University and Brigham Young University, the people of Samoa are able to detect and prevent rheumatic heart disease in Samoan children. [/teaser]
Rheumatic Rescue began in 2009 and has grown to become a clinical, education, and research program that is able to save the lives of hundred of children. Students and instructors from both universities travel to Samoa to provide free echocardiogram screenings, educate children on the signs of rheumatic heart disease, and gather research to analyze in the lab. Through all of these platforms, Samoan children are able to receive treatment and can lead relatively normal lives. The Rheumatic Rescue team uses iFormBuilder as their data collection solution, allowing them to streamline their workflow and gather good data.
