Not a Developer? Neither am I. Using the iFormBuilder API with Zapier, I can easily turn complex manual tasks into a time saving automated solution to alleviate repetitive tasks.
Using Zapier, no development knowledge is required, which is why I absolutely love the tool. Before Zapier, integration with an on-premise server could be taxing and tedious. It could take many hours/days/weeks to build a custom web service that would properly integrate with iFormBuilder. Using Zapier, this can now be configured in a matter of minutes!
What is the iFormBuilder API?
The iFormBuilder API is a set of developer tools that allow you to automate your workflows. Below are some examples of how to put the API to use:
- Automatically populate a look up table from your back-end database.
- Auto-Assign records to a specific user based on a set of conditions.
- Populate your back-end database from an iFormBuilder record submission.
- Automatically update Pick-lists with new options from your back-end system.
Why use Zapier?
No Developer. No Problem. Custom Web Services are replaced by Zapier in a simple field mapping interface. When a trigger is fired in iFormBuilder (new record, new user, new form, new widget, new company profile) an action is triggered in Zapier or vice-versa. This action can be with one of the 300+ and counting Web Service Apps that Zapier supports. For a list of supported Zapier Apps Click Here.

[dropcap4]3[/dropcap4] Configure the Zap
All Triggers and Actions have a standard configuration process that maps fields from iFormBuilder into fields from Zapier.
[dropcap4]4[/dropcap4] Turn the Zap on
Once the Zap is turned on, it will send a test trigger to ensure the service is behaving appropriately.
With Zapier, you can easily take advantage of the advanced iFormBuilder API, and begin revolutionizing how fields team collect data. I work with customers every day who are looking to automate their workflows, and Zapier is my tool of choice for business users and developers. Thanks,
Ben
