We love MoDev! After attending the MoDev conference in Hong Kong last month, we could not stay away from the MoDev UX conference right in our own backyard! The conference, held in McLean, Virginia, brought together user experience (UX) experts. It was a great blend of developers, designers, marketers and managers of mobile initiatives.

In the ever changing mobile environment, it is critical to have a fresh perspective. Our CEO, Sze Wong spoke about connecting the developing world through a new kind of user experience (UX). Mobile is making a huge wave in third world countries. Surprisingly, the adaption rate in these countries are sometimes higher than those in the developed world. When deploying solutions to these regions, the focus on user experience is extremely important. UX of this kind does not necessarily involve sexy graphics and animations, but focuses on the basics. Sze posed some important questions. How can we empower someone who may have never touched a computer to use a solution? How can we design a system to share data without any internet connection?
While we sit here browsing the internt, checking our phones, it’s hard to imagine a world where we aren’t connected. However, that is not reality. Since last year, we have expanded to over 100 projects in developing nations in Africa and South America. We’re working on bridging the gaps and providing solutions for you, wherever you may be!
